We have Guest Speaker Dr Olaf Meynecke from Humpbacks & High Rises coming along to have a chat about the Humpbacks that visit this region of Australia. Humpbacks & High-Rises is an independent not for profit research organisation dedicated to the research and protection of whales and dolphins in south-east Queensland, Australia. They focus research and adaptation strategies on the coastal impacts caused by urbanisation for the benefits of marine mammals and our coastal community.
We’ll then discuss how to photograph the Humpbacks as we do in Tonga and discuss the current whale watching laws as they apply in Australia.
This will be held at Devocean Dive, Unit 40 Southport Trade Centre, Jackman St, Southport. Qld The evening will commence at 6.30pm
Let Greg know if you are able to attend. Please don’t hesitate to contact for any questions and please bring a friend.
